“Light”
I have had kind people throughout my life give me many different compliments. And although it is always nice to hear something like “you look pretty”, my favorite compliment I have received was “you are a light”. I have been so blessed to have heard this more than once. Beauty fades, and youth loses its dew… But to know that for some reason someone was touched by something I said or did, that they might have smiled, laughed, or have been comforted by me…those things will remain with me forever. At the same time, it has set a bar for me, or standard if you will. While I have been called a light, it is only because I am blessed to walk in the light of God’s amazing grace.
So as to never forget Who I serve, or what I represent, I applied this small tatoo as a daily reminder to not only be a light, but to always try and walk in the light.
